With its pretty white or pinkish flower from the bitter orange tree, orange blossom is popular the world over.

Its essential oil is known as “Neroli”, in homage to the Princess of Neroli, a very elegant woman who launched the fashion of using it in perfumery .

In Antiquity, orange blossom, the symbol of purity, fertility and virginity, was traditionally used to decorate bridal headdresses and gowns. Today, the tradition still remains in Grasse of offering a garland of orange blossom to couples marrying when the plant is in bloom (April-May).

In Provence, orange blossom is an emblematic flower of Provençal tradition, both in cooking and in perfumes and beauty products.

Durance has taken inspiration from this background to bring  you a shower gel to clean the skin gently, leaving a delicate perfume.

Created by our perfumers in Grasse, the Fleur d’oranger powdery, floral fragrance is a vaporous perfume that leaves a feminine, suave scent in its wake.
